2021 Wedding Trends

  • Intimate Gatherings: This one is a no brainer. While we hope that science continues to do it’s thing and help us reach a safe way to celebrate in large groups soon, the truth is we have no idea when that will be the case. A lot of our couples are opting to scale down now (like our sweet couple L+M as featured in Vogue Weddings here), before they’re forced to, and hold micro or petite weddings. This opens up the opportunities for unexpected venue choices, more time to connect with your guests, and more flexibility with your budget. Of course, a lot of our couples are also keeping their fingers crossed for their parties to be grand with hundreds of their closest friends and family, which brings us to our next trend…
  • Tented Affairs: When thinking about the safety of a large event, considering an outdoor celebration is smart. The open air and flow allows for you and your guests to have more assurance and comfortability. And plus, tents can be EVERYTHING. From sailcloth to clear top we love designing a tented party because the options are endless (draping, lighting, and florals oh my!)
  • Luxe Touches: As the focus has shifted to smaller or safer celebrations, couples will be putting more intentionality into the details. Elements like handwritten thank you notes for every guest or table side ordering for a personalized experience will have a big moment. From your stationery (handmade paper suites to elevate your invitation!) to the execution (assigned ceremony seating to take the worry away from your guests) there are so many ways to add a bit of tasteful extravagance to your festivities.
  • Weekday Weddings: Say it with us – Thursday is the new Saturday! With so many 2020 weddings postponing to an already full 2021 and an almost full 2022, couples are getting creative with the traditional Saturday affair. Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays are more popular than ever and it kind of makes you question why Saturday stood out to begin with. Your wedding is a big deal, those who want to be there will be there no matter when you have to plan it. So don’t worry so much about the perfect date and instead focus on the marriage. After all, that’s the whole point.
